360 waves * Nappy Hair Tips * Black Hair Tricks for the royal crown

Everyone wants to know how but NOT everyone is willing to put in the work to get them.

360 Hair waves are undeniably timeless but it takes a bit of back end work if you are looking to drown them in your waves! One question that is often asked is how do you get them? There are a few keys to getting nice well kept, tightly aligned, deep rooted waves and along with time I might be able to help you out.

First off, perhaps the best time is just after a fresh low haircut. Be sure you are prepared with the following:

- A good satin night cap/durag that can be tightened

-a nice soft bristled brush

-a healthy shampoo/conditioner

-natural pomade or hair salve (Of course, we recommend one of the best! Millenheirs Hair Growth Pomade or )

Don’t let the propaganda fool you! ALL pomade options can clog the pores, especially petroleum based pomades but the key to a happy head is keeping a balance between a clean scalp and moisturized roots so that you are also fostering an environment for hair growth.

Shampoo and condition your hair approximately once or twice per week. Conditioning your hair is one of the healthiest things you can do for your hair. It will thank you later but be sure to condition and rinse well. Once you have a fresh head, while your hair is still damp, gather an index fingertip full of pomade and place it in the palm of your hand. Rub your palms together until the pomade melts and apply to your hair, reaching every corner of your head.

From there, brush…brush…brush! Between the brushing and before bed, tie the durag on pulling it tight to your hair follicles. The more you can wear the durag, the better. When you are not wearing the durag, brush you hair as much as you can. When you brush, ensure that you brush each side of your head in the same general direction each stroke-typically, this is down around the back and sides of your head and forward towards your forehead for the top. You are only applying the pomade 2-3x per week, so the small container will go a long way.

Although you may be tempted to keep your hair trimmed, the longer you can go the better for the wave forming. The more you keep this routine, the more trained your follicles will become and the more tamed your waves will be. Once the hair starts to develop layers, switch to a harder brush to penetrate deeper layers of new growth. This is very important to ensure the hair follicles start to develop a recognizable wave pattern. Again, resist the temptation for a haircut, although a lineup is sure to make your feel a bit better and may keep the noise down from your barber as well. It may take anywhere between 4-12 weeks but with dedication admirers will be frolicking in the deep wondering how you came so far!
